Tabriz Silk Carpet

Northwest Persia, circa 1900. Warp and pile pure silk. Under a light gable decorated with a panel extends the light blue field, which is elegantly adorned only with 2 filigree columns and a hanging lamp. Several floral secondary borders frame the white main border stylishly decorated with red floral motifs and vine bands in an exquisite manner.
