Vintage High Stool – Perriand Style – Original Woven Seat – 1970s Elegant vintage high stool dating from circa the 1970s, made of dark-stained wood with a beautiful original hand-woven natural fibre seat. The characteristic construction, with rounded legs extending slightly above the seat and distinctive geometric weaving, is strongly reminiscent of French modernist Alpine furniture from the 1960s–70s, particularly the style associated with Charlotte Perriand and Les Arcs. The stool is not attributed to Charlotte Perriand; this reference is purely stylistic. The original woven seat remains tight and complete. The wooden frame has an attractive vintage patina with normal signs of age and use.
