Regency-style Giltwood Overmantel Mirror

A Regency-style giltwood overmantel mirror from the 19th century. The moulded cornice is decorated with ball moulding, above a frieze with classical motifs including winged putti and a chariot scene, with three bevelled margin plates flanked by Corinthian columns. The mirror is in good condition overall, with general wear consistent with age and use. There are a few small cracks, abrasions, small losses, fading and flaking to gilt. The plates have some speckling but all in good order overall and securely enclosed. There are some visible worm holes to columns, probably inactive. Structurally stable overall and intact.
