Three Model No.60 stools designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933, manufactured in the second half of 20th century. Made from laminated birch plywood. Provenance: Private property, Notting Hill, London. Literature reference: Alvar Aalto: Designer, Lahti, p. 169. All three stools show clear signs of age and use, probably as tables - there are large ring marks where wet vases have probably been placed previously. The top of one has 'blown' and there is a split to the 'bulged' area. All legs are securely joined with old screws - the screws have corroded and discoloured.
