Large Bowl with Fluted Exterior

Large bowl with fluted exterior designed by Axel Salto. Executed at Saxbo in Islev, Denmark in the period 1931-32. Made of hand-thrown stoneware (thrown by Oscar Olsen) in the 'Bird Feather' glaze. Signed 'SALTO' on the base. This very bowl is documented/illustrated on page 312 in the book 'Saxbo og Nathalie Krebs' (Gads Forlag, 2023). Note: Axel Salto began his engagement with Saxbo early in 1931 (shortly after Gunnar Nylund's departure) and the collaboration with Nathalie Krebs' studio lasted approx. one and a half years.
